Frequently Asked Questions

How should I dress my child?
Indoors, tights or trousers will do. Outdoors, you'll need: snow gear (ski suit or jacket and trousers), 1 pair of ski mittens with drawstring, 1 hat, 1 pair of sunglasses with drawstring, 1 tube of sun cream and shoes to walk on snow. All clothing must be marked with the child's first name.
What equipment does my child need?
Boots to size with just 1 pair of socks.
Skis: tips at chin level. Trust the professionals for adjustments.
No poles at Club Piou Piou before the 1ère Etoile.
Helmets are essential.
What methods of payment are accepted by the esf Champagny en Vanoise?
Our online booking accepts all credit cards except Diner's Club. For payment by money order, bank transfer, cheque or holiday vouchers, please contact us.
How come I can't access the payment page after booking my lessons?
Your browser's security level might be too high. Use the "Preferences" menu to lower it. It is also possible that your network uses a firewall, which should be deactivated for the duration of the booking.
Your website tells me that the lessons are fully booked. What can I do?
It is likely that our software is blocking sales and that you will not be able to buy your lessons online. To be on the safe side, please contact the esf (contact form or telephone) and we will give you a definitive answer.
The student's age does not correspond to the chosen lesson
We calculate the number of months between the date of birth and the date of the course to check that the lessons correspond to your child's age. The age taken into account is that of the child on the 1st day of the lessons and not on the day of your order: this is why this message may seem inconsistent, but there is no error. Do not hesitate to choose other lessons for your child that corresponds to their age at the start of the ski holidays.
No lessons sold corresponds to the age of the student
Try to enter Saturday as the start date of your stay to check that there are no other possibilities, or contact us.
What do I do if there are no lessons available?
Try to enter Saturday as the start date to check that there are no other possibilities. Contact us if you have any problems with level, age or period.
What insurance should I take out for winter sports?
The esf does not insure its students. We recommend that you take out Carré Neige insurance, which covers you in the event of accident or illness.
